The symposium will feature student and faculty speakers from a variety of chemistry and materials engineering backgrounds focusing on novel strategies to harness and store solar energy. Research talks will cover photocatalysis, redox flow batteries, advanced light absorbing materials and devices, and new semiconductor materials. The goal of the day long symposium is to bring together and begin discussions with materials researchers in the fields of energy harvesting and storage in the Southeastern US region who are actively working on these important energy challenges.
